For over 35 years, John Proctor has operated at the highest levels of the global music and live entertainment industry, delivering world-class touring, production, logistics, and strategic consultancy for internationally recognised artists, management companies, promoters, and entertainment brands.

Known for combining high-level operational expertise with strong artist relationships and commercial understanding, John has built a reputation as a trusted problem solver capable of delivering complex global productions while protecting both the creative vision and the business behind it.

John’s career began in elite security operations, working alongside Flying Squad legend George Gibbs and supporting high-profile artists and public figures including George Michael and Alice Cooper. That foundation in leadership, discretion, and crisis management naturally evolved into a long-standing career in touring and production management.

His breakthrough into music touring came through Jive Records, where he was brought in to oversee touring operations for Steps during one of the most successful periods in the group’s history. From there, John became a trusted touring and production figure for major international artists including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Robbie Williams, Seal, Craig David, Boyzone, Tom Jones, Madness, Tears For Fears, Peter Gabriel, Massive Attack, The Prodigy, and many others.

Over the years, John has successfully delivered arena tours, stadium productions, international festival performances, promotional campaigns, and large-scale live events across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.

His expertise covers every aspect of modern touring and live entertainment, including:

•    Tour Direction & Production Management

•    International Tour Logistics

•    Budget Management & Cost Control

•    Artist Development & Live Strategy

•    Global Market Expansion

•    Promoter & Venue Relations

•    Festival & Event Production

•    Security & Risk Management Integration

•    Team Leadership & Operational Oversight

Beyond production, John is highly experienced in artist growth strategy and international market positioning. He has worked closely with artists, labels, and management teams to help scale touring operations, build live reputations, and develop long-term global opportunities.

His consultancy work has also extended into international operational planning and security advisory roles, including projects involving the United Nations and strategic

touring consultancy connected to Live Nation and BTS.

What separates John is his ability to bridge the gap between artist, management, promoter, and production — understanding both the creative and commercial pressures that drive successful modern touring.

Whether stepping into an established global touring structure or helping develop emerging talent into scalable international touring acts, John brings experience, trust, leadership, and a proven ability to execute at the very highest level.
